Robert Trent

Robert Trent

President, SDC Homes

Robert Trent began Home Building in 1999. Having run a very successful retail business for two years prior Robert gained the important knowledge and understanding of marketing and people. Upon starting his first construction company in 1999 it was apparent that Robert had much larger plans in store for his company. Robert began building smaller semi custom homes for his buyers. Within a few years it was on to building High End Custom Homes. Many of which were recognized in local newspapers and magazines for their exquisite style and attention to detail selling for millions of dollars. Expanding on that desire for exquisite style and attention to detail, in late 2007 Robert pioneered a way to deliver those same high quality features and details into a more affordable, value engineered product created through SDC Homes. Robert Trent created SDC Homes to provide high-quality homes to the hardworking people of the Pacific Northwest. With more than a decade of homebuilding experience,Robert takes great pride in the way his homes are constructed. Robert has built several hundred homes throughout his career. He sincerely enjoys the relationships he has formed with several home owners and is passionate about SDC Homes and the beautiful homes they deliver.
In Rob’s spare time he enjoys  many outdoor activities which include boating, skiing, camping, etc which he enjoys with his wife and four children.   He also enjoys restoring old cars and entering car shows. 

Darin Rueppell

Darin Rueppell

Land Acquisition and Development Manager

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Darin graduated from college and began his career in 1992 as a Lead Structural Designer for Willamette Industries before moving into the building design industry. He established Rueppell Group, Inc., a home design, structural and marketing company concentrating on the production housing industry. In 2007, Darin partnered his company and employees with SDC Homes. His duties now include management of home design, drafting, engineering, marketing, permitting, client relations, acquisitions, and operations. In his free time, Darin enjoys traveling, skiing, fishing and spending quality time with his wife and two children.

Michael Dattilo

Chief Operating Officer

Michael has served the real estate industry in Puget Sound since 1985. He began working as a sales agent in Seattle at MacPherson’s Realty becoming one of the company’s top 10 agents. After attaining his broker’s license he managed an office for Richard James Realtors conducting an average of 200 transactions monthly. He later moved on to managing homebuilder sales direct to the public working with Conner Homes, John F. Buchan Homes, Cosmos Development, Centex Homes, and Premier Communities. Michael has also served in a consulting capacity for numerous builders and land developers in the Puget Sound area. He resides in Buckley, Washington with his wife and their two sons enjoying golf, biking, cooking, and writing.

Bryan Trent

Director, Purchasing & Field Operations



Bryan received his Bachelors Degree in Information Technology and Administrative Management from Central Washington University, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. He is an entrepreneur having owned and established several businesses including Trent Homes (a custom home construction company), Pacific Spray Insulation (a spray foam insulation company) and T&S Cyber Solutions (a web design & internet marketing firm). Prior to his entrepreneurial career Bryan worked for AT&T as an Information Technology Project Manager. Bryan’s career includes over a decade in the residential construction industry and 6 years in Information Technology.

He is married with 5 children, enjoys reading, traveling, photography and several outdoor activities.

Kathy Dawson

Kathy grew up in Utah, Colorado & Oregon.  She got her degree in sociology at Portland State University, and later completed accounting classes at the Univerisity of Washington in Tacoma to become a CPA.  She has worked in accounting for approximately 16 years working for Gary Lynn Ward, CPA & six years for Premier Communities, a residential Construction Company.   Kathy is married and has three grown sons.  Her hobbies include reading, going to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and going on motorcycle trips with her husband.

Kim Gazes

Marketing Manager

Kim Gazes is a seasoned professional in the specialty of New Home Marketing.  Her background includes work for the Puget Sound region’s major homebuilders, along with experience with one of the world’s most respected retailers.

At Chaffey Homes, Quadrant Homes and Murray-Franklyn, Kim created and managed integrated marketing and sales campaigns to drive growth.  She has produced multi-media campaigns, supervised the design and execution of model homes and sales centers and interfaced with promotions and training of large new home sales teams.  While working with Nordstrom Store Planning and Architecture, Kim led the teams to open new stores across the country and honed her skills at maintaining high branding standards.  This gave her new insights into sophisticated retail marketing and brand management.  At SDC Homes, Kim is responsible for marketing initiatives across 14 communities.  Her SDC Marketing team has catapulted the SDC Homes brand into one known for quality, innovative design and excellent customer service.  Company growth has outstripped all regional competition.

Kim has two grown sons and in her free time enjoys friends and family, traveling, cooking, hiking and especially swimming in Lake Chelan.

Erik Peterson

Web / Marketing

Erik Peterson is a 3D/2D artist and architectural drafter with more than ten years of experience. He has done it all, from small working construction plans to highly detailed 3D Models for video games. He even established his own 3D rendering company EPVIZ before joining SDC Homes.  Erik lives in Bremerton and is married with 2 children.  In his spare time he enjoys riding dirtbikes, snowboarding and anything family related.

Dorothy Berg

Office Administrator

Dorothy has a long career in bookkeeping and office management, having served in a medical clinic, a cell phone company, a stone supply company, a roofing company, as well as heating and construction companies. She is happily married and now is a proud grandmother to thirteen boys and ten girls. In her spare time she enjoys boating, gardening, sewing, and of course spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Renae is a long time resident of Washington State, growing up in the Federal Way area.  Renae currently works at an Elementary School and SDC Homes is her second job.  She does all kinds of office work for SDC Homes including opening mail, organizing files and ordering  office supplies.  Renae lives in the Graham area and is married  and has 18 grandchildren which she enjoys spending time with.

Ginger Dernoll

Office Assistant

Ginger attended Cosmetology school in Auburn while in high school.  She graduated from Enumclaw High School and worked at the Enumclaw movie theatre for ten years during the time she got married and started raising her family. She currently lives in the Graham area and has three sons still at home.  Ginger and her husband together have seven children and three grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys going to Karate classes where she is an advanced orange belt.  She enjoys working in her yard and cooking for her family.

Kacia Heaney

Kacia came to SDC Homes with an architectural background and over 14 years of drafting experience. She has a degree in architecture and her extensive work history involves both residential and commercial design. Kacia helps prepare all permitting documents and site plans required to build our homes.  Kacia and her boyfriend enjoy snow skiing and bicycle riding with her 8 year old daughter.

Lonnie Brimer

Home Design

Lonnie completed his education in Phoenix, Arizona in the Spring of 1990. He graduated with honors for maintaining a high Grade Point Average in the pursuit of his degree. 
Out in the real world, Lonnie’s work experience was all over the spectrum.  First was a structural steel company that specialized in industrial sized dumpsters and compactors.  Next was a telecommunications engineering position.   
Lonnie then tried to pursue other avenues for his drafting and designing skills.  He found himself in the reprographics industry.  He helped a small blueprint shop begin a plotting department.  He created the working space needed, ordered all of the required equipment, set up the plotting parameters, and helped market the new service.  This department became the largest money maker for the company after less than 2 years of operations.          
After seven years of managing the blueprint shop, Lonnie felt the urge to again try something new.  He found himself trying Landscape Architecture.  This is something he still enjoys when time permits.
Architecture became Lonnie’s direction almost by accident.  However it became one of his favorite ways to pass a day.
Through several years of hard work, Lonnie has continued to learn and develop his skills as a home designer.  His focus now is to remain current, and remain relevant.

Regina was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Washington with her husband to start a new adventure.  She has worked in the Real Estate business for seven years, including for a Real Estate Collection agency, Premier Communities and SDC Homes, LLC.  She says her mentor is Michael Dattilo, as he has helped her go above and beyond what she thought she was capable of doing by his guidance and showing confidence in her.  She loves to help people and loves to be involved in the decision making of the people she works with.  She says, “At the end of the day, the joy that comes from giving a new homeowner keys and seeing them smile from ear to ear tops it all!!”  Regina and her husband enjoy spending time hanging out at home with their 2 dogs and 3 cats and often go camping and hiking and enjoying nature.  They also enjoy spending time with family and friends and remodeling their home.

Jeremy grew up in Lincoln Nebraska.  He received a degree in Economics at the University of Idaho.  He moved to southern California to work for Pulte Homes after college. He and his wife decided to move to Washington State to raise their daughter in the Northwest.  Jeremy worked for Pagentry Homes and then for Premier Communities as their Customer Care Manager.  In Jeremy’s spare time he likes to fish and is an avid Nebraska Corn Huskers football fan.

Jessica has grown up in Washington, originally from the Federal Way area. She now owns a home in Puyallup with her husband. She went to Saint Martin's University in Lacey, WA to get her BA in Business with a concentration in Finance. She has been with SDC since October of 2010, and this is her first experience with a home building company. Prior to this she worked in a bank for 3 years and also in the transportation industry for another 3 years. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her husband and dog, relaxing, watching movies or any sports, and traveling; especially to Hawaii and Disneyland.
